Our Story
The Bottoms.
100% Grass-Fed by design.
A high-efficiency beef program built on the heritage of the Woodland Bottoms — where the Columbia and Lewis Rivers converge.
A century of land, modernized.
Primo Beef isn't your typical farm-to-table operation — it's a high-efficiency beef program built on the heritage of the Woodland Bottoms. Located where the Columbia and Lewis Rivers converge, our cattle graze on land that has supported livestock and farmers for over 100 years.
We have taken that century-old foundation and modernized it with a singular focus: producing premium, 100% grass-fed beef that is accessible, sustainable, and fully utilized.
Decades of hands-on experience.
His background isn't just limited to cattle; he spent his formative years working as a ranch hand and at local berry farms. While in college, he continued this work at a Timothy hay farm, deepening his understanding of the forage and high-quality feed necessary for premium livestock.
After a career in corporate procurement — a background that provides a professional edge in managing complex supply chains and sourcing high-quality cattle — he returned to Woodland in 2011 with plans to build up our small beef operation.
Through years of trial and error, Hector realized that traditional cattle ranching was often inefficient for small-scale operations. To maximize the resources of the land and provide a superior, consistent product, he pivoted to a high-efficiency model that prioritizes strict quality control, year-round availability, and the 100% grass-finished standard.
Natural, strictly monitored.
We believe the best beef comes from a natural, strictly monitored process. We adhere to rigorous standards to ensure our product is exactly what we would feed our own families.
Truly Grass-Fed
Our cattle never see a feedlot and eat nothing but natural forage from start to finish.
Selective Sourcing
We partner with expert local ranchers in Washington and Oregon who meet our strict 100% grass-fed and grass-finished standards.
Regenerative Practices
We use rotational grazing to improve soil health and ensure our pastures remain nutrient-dense.
Nothing goes to waste.
Custom Shares & Boxes

The "Maker" Resource

Giving Back

Grit. Hard work. Transparency.
We don't overcomplicate it.
We keep it simple, keep it grass-fed, and keep it local.
We aren't a massive industrial ranch — we are a local operation dedicated to keeping premium beef accessible.
